Working in groups of 6 to 5 people, search any business system from the Internet or any organization.  You have to identify the main problems faced by the users of the system in the computerized/manual system. As an IT consultant team, you are to propose and develop a system by solving the end users’ problems.

 

TASK 1: You are required to collect all the information and identify the system needs. Study the requirements for the proposed system.

 

TASK 2: Each group is to prepare a complete project report based on report outline given below.

1.     INTRODUCTION

In this section you are going to give a brief summery about what you are going to study/analyze. Also, you need to explain how you are going to address this problem briefly (you need to give the steps that you are going to follow to find the solution).

 

2.     PROBLEM STATEMENT/ OPPORTUNITIES / OBJECTIVES (Description of the current system)

In this section you need to explain what is/are the existing problem(s) in details. Also, you need to define what is/are the objective(s), and opportunities could be addressed if the problem has been solved.

 

3.     DETERMINE HUMAN INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS

In this step you need to conduct analysis by using interactive and unobtrusive methods in order to understand what information users need to perform their job.

 

4.     ANALYZING SYSTEM NEED

This section need to be addressed by using DFD (Data Flow Diagram) the Context Diagram and Level 0 Diagram to show the input(s) and output(s) of the recommended system. After developing DFD diagram process specification form need to be developed. Moreover, you need to analyze the structured decision made by using structured English, decision table and decision tree.

 

5.     SYSTEM DESIGN (User Interface Design)

By using the earlier information you gathered in the previous steps, you need to provides the user effective input/output information system by using techniques of good form and screen design
